Adult Female Flatback Sea Turtle
An adult female flatback sea turtle (Natator depressus) is shown in a strict orthographic top view and calm symmetrical glide. Great Barrier Reef nesting females have a published mean carapace length of 0.94 m, a range of 0.88–0.96 m, and a mean mass of 82 kg. The low olive-gray oval-to-heart-shaped shell with upturned margins, moderate head, and four flippers retain the species' natural form.
